Operation
The TAM VP series wash press has a frame made of stainless steel or acid-resistant steel. The frame includes connections for the screenings to be washed, the supply of wash water, and the discharge of reject water.
Inside the frame, there is a screw that transfers the screenings to be washed from the drop section to the wash section and through a transfer pipe to a waste container
The wash press has a perforated structure inside, allowing wash water to exit the device. As the screw rotates, a brush on the screw keeps the perforated structure open, allowing wash water and organic material to exit the device. Wash operation is activated after a certain number of working movements, for example, after 5 step screen movements for inlet screenings. During septage sludge reception, wash operation is active throughout the reception time
