TAM V-Step Screens

Step screens are devices designed for the preliminary treatment of incoming wastewater, with the task of
separating coarse solid particles from the wastewater entering the facility.

Typical particles to be separated in municipal wastewater include paper, plastic, and various fibers.

Step screens are normally the first
mechanical purification device in the facility.

Incoming wastewater is directed to the inlet side of the step screen. The accumulation of solid particles in
the wastewater creates a damming effect in the screen, effectively filtering the incoming wastewater.

The step screen periodically performs a working movement and lifts the accumulated material to a higher step.
This action creates more flow space at the lower edge of the screen, allowing water to flow through more
rapidly.

Nearly 300 TAM V-step screens have been delivered and manufactured.

The TAM V-series step screen consists of step-shaped, laser-cut bars.
The screen is placed in the step screen channel, which can be made of concrete or included in the stainless steel channel in the step screen
delivery. The TAM V-step screen is a self-contained and automatic device, requiring minimal monitoring and maintenance.
